Partner Code 128979 for AvaTrade: The Real Story
People message me about partner codes all the time. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
Nope. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A partner code won't affect it.
The code 128979 activates the bonus program. Extra funds in your account based on how much you put in. avatrade partner code Simple as that.
Bonus amounts?
Deposit $1,000 and get $200.
$2,000 gets you $400.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK accounts start at £160 for £800 deposited. Scales up to £11,200 maximum.
You can open an account with $100. Minimum for any bonus is $1,000.
The field is hidden
When you're signing up. Below the phone field, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click the arrow. A text box appears. Type **128979**.
Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.
If you see an error, it's fine. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Ask them to add code 128979. They handle this regularly.
There's a catch with the bonus
There's a volume requirement.
Roughly 10,000 units traded per $1 bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.
Your deposit is yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.
Something useful to understand: locked bonus funds still contribute to your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. That breathing room helps while you're learning.
